Light & Life West — Mobile Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Light & Life West mobile app (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles information. The App is produced for Light & Life West and developed by TDPIXEL.

1) What the App Does

The App helps users:

View church information and links (calendar, services, giving, ministries)
Read verse-of-the-day content
Keep personal Sermon Notes on the device
Open church and third-party websites in an in-app web view or your default browser
Receive optional local notifications (e.g., verse-of-the-day, service reminders)

2) Information We Collect

We do not collect, store, or process personal information on our servers.
The App has no account system and does not send your notes, settings, or identifiers to us.

The only data the App handles is on your device (see Section 3). If you follow links to our website or third-party providers (e.g., giving or prayer request forms), any information you submit there is governed by those sites’ own privacy policies.

We do not:

Run analytics or advertising SDKs
Track you across apps or websites
Collect precise geolocation
Sell or share personal information

3) On-Device Data the App Stores

Stored locally on your device (not sent to us):

App settings & preferences (theme, haptics/sound, link behavior)
Notification choices and local schedules (verse/service reminders)
Sermon Notes you create
Reading/plan progress and similar app state
Optional backups you export or import using the App

You can delete this data by uninstalling the App or clearing the App’s storage (see Section 8).

4) Permissions & How We Use Them

Notifications: To schedule local reminders you opt into. These are created and delivered by the device; no notification data is sent to us.
Network/Internet: To load church content (e.g., background video, verse feed) and open links to our website or trusted third parties.
File/Media access (read/write):
- To export a backup file that you can save to Files/Drive
- To import a backup you previously saved
- To save a share image (e.g., “Verse of the Day”) when you choose to share it
Haptics & Sound: For optional UI feedback only; no data is collected.

5) Third-Party Services & Links

The App can open external websites and services (e.g., llcfwest.com, giving platforms, social accounts). Those services may collect information according to their own privacy policies. Please review their policies when using them. Opening a link does not share your notes or app data with us.

6) Children’s Privacy

This App is designed for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect, store, or process children’s personal information. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us through our external sites or forms, contact us at info@tdpixel.com so we can address it.

7) Security

Your notes and settings remain on your device. We recommend:

Using your device’s screen lock and OS security
Keeping your exported backups in a secure location
Not sharing backups publicly

No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps within the App’s design to minimize data collection and keep your data on your device.

8) Data Retention & Your Choices

Because we do not collect personal data on servers, retention is under your control.

You can:

Delete local data by uninstalling the App or clearing its storage
Manage notifications in the App or your device’s system settings
Export a backup file of your app data (for your records)
Import a backup you previously created

If you submitted information through external forms (e.g., giving or prayer requests), contact the operator of that form or email us at info@tdpixel.com for assistance.

9) International Users

We do not operate servers for this App’s data. If you submit information to our website or third-party services, your data may be processed in the country where those services operate.

10) California & Other Regional Rights

We do not sell personal information. If you believe you have submitted personal information to us via our external sites or forms and want to exercise privacy rights available in your region (e.g., access, deletion), contact info@tdpixel.com and we will facilitate your request.

11) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in the App or legal requirements. We’ll post updates with a new “Effective date.” Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
