Psalm 127:3
Teach your children to choose the right path, and when they are older, they will remain
upon it. - Proverbs 22:6
Welcome, welcome, welcome to Light & Life Christian Fellowship West Children's Ministry, the home of the "Tomorrows Disciples".
Here at LLCF West Children's Ministry, we offer Sunday school the 1st through 4th Sundays of each month. Sunday school in facilitated at our Ministry Center. Our children look forward to being greeted by teachers who are excited about their presence and teaching the Word of God. In addition to being wonderful disciples of Christ, our teachers are fully screened by the State of California to create a safe environment.
As leaders of LLCF West Children's Ministry, our goals are to teach "Tomorrow's Disciples":
- to praise and worship the Lord through song and dance.
- learn the Word of God through age appropriate curriculum.
- know their value of service in God’s kingdom (how to minister to others through their God-given talents).
- to be powerful Prayer Warriors through regular opportunities of seeing God answering their prayers.
- to give sacrificially to help others as the Lord honors sacrifices. Our children know they are making room for blessing when they make sacrifices through giving. Our children’s outreach project is getting underway by giving socks to other children in our local hospitals. It is our prayer that other children come to know God through our sacrificial giving.
- that when they are ready to be baptized in water that it is a bold statement to the world proclaiming their faith in Christ.
In addition to a highly structured learning atmosphere, our children enjoy the following activities on an annual and/or quarterly basis:
- Bible Buck Store, this is where Tomorrow's Disciples spend the bible bucks earned during class to shop (quarterly) for special toys, goodies and treats.
- Festivals are held annually during Resurrection Sunday, Summer Break & Harvest.
- Off Campus Trips to wonderful points of interest, such as amusement parks & Children's Museums.
- Family Camp-Outs, coming soon!
13One day some parents brought their children to Jesus so He could touch them and bless them, but the disciples told them not to bother Him. 14 But when Jesus saw what was happening, He was very displeased with His disciples. He said to them, "Let the children come to me. Don't stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 15 I assure you, anyone who doesn't have their kind of faith will never get into the Kingdom of God." 16 Then he took the children into the His arms and placed his hands on their heads and blessed them. - Mark 10:13-16
