Core Values
The following represents the actual values of Light & Life Christian Fellowship West church - a loving and gifted community of unique and diverse individuals.  The following defines and drive our ministry in the context of a life-giving environment.

We Value:

Obedience to God's Word: Through the study and application of the Bible, we enjoy a life that is more abundant and pleasing to God.  (We also agree that this is the overarching value of whatever we do.)

  • Proverbs 7:1-3 (NKJ) - 1My son, keep my words, and treasure my commands within you. 2Keep my commands and live, and my law as the apple of your eye. 3Bind them on your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart.
  • Joshua 1:8 (Amplified) - 8This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success.

Fellowship: We cultivate authentic relationships through meaningful connections with each other in order to experience God's fullness.

  • Acts 2:42 (NKJ) - They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayers
  • Hebrews 10:24-25 (NLT) - 24Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. 25And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.

Prayer: Through prayer in our lives and with one another, we seek to build a closer connection with God and to experience the release of His grace and power on the earth.

  • 2 Chronicles 7:14 (NKJ) - If My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
  • James 5:16 (NKJ) - Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed.  The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.

Discipleship: As dedicated followers of Christ, we are committed to loving and serving God, loving and serving people, and being transformed into the image of Christ.

  • Matthew 28:19-20 (NLT) - 19Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
  • John 13:34-35 (NKJ) -  34A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Family: We recognize that every person is or represents a family.  Therefore, we provide respect, care, and value to all individuals and families represented in our church body.  We do not seek to put our mission goals ahead of any family.

  • Joshua 24:14-15 (NKJ) - “Now therefore, fear the LORD, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt…as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”
  • Acts 16:31-33 (KJV) - 31So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.” 32Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house. 33And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their stripes. And immediately he and all his family were baptized.
